TechCrunch now reports that A&T has pinned its all-staff vacation blackout from September 21 - 30.
According to an
AT&T sales rep, AT&T staff has been given a vacation blackout
from September 21 to September 30, just like Verizon employees. Our
source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing
training for an “iconic release.”
Sounds like the next-gen iPhone to me.
The vacation blackouts that the carriers are planning is in line with the rumored September 21 release date for iPhone 5.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the next generation iPhone, popularly referred to as 'iPhone 5' at a special event on September 12. It is also speculated that Apple will start taking pre-orders on the same day, followed by the launch after 9 days on September 21.
It also looks like the main focus of the September 12 event will be Apple's new iPhone, as the company is reportedly planning a separate media event in October to launch 'iPad mini'.
