Verizon has just outed a new ‘phablet’ device for its customers who are on a shoestring budget — the LG G Vista. The design of the device has been inspired from the G3 with even the Power and Volume keys located at its rear. Under its hood though, the G Vista is much more modest in nature.
The front of the G Vista is adored by a gigantic 5.7-inch display with a paltry qHD (960×640) resolution. Internally, it is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Other specs include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory (3.76GB usable), a microSD card slot, LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 8MP rear shooter with an LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter.
The device comes with a beastly 3200mAh removable battery, which should easily last a day of heavy usage.
Even though the G Vista is a low-end phablet, it packs in most of the software goodies we have seen on the G3 including Dual Window, QSlide, Knock Code, Mini View and more. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with the latest version of LG’s Optimus UI on top of it.
Interested consumers can already buy the G Vista for $99 from Verizon on a two-year contract.
