VirtnetX Adds iPhone 5, iPad mini, iPod touch, iPad, and Macs to Patent Case

We guess $368.2M isn’t enough for VirtnetX, because on the heels of winning their patent victory against Apple this week, they’ve opened another patent suit against Apple, this time including new products (like the iPhone 5 and iPad mini) that weren’t out the first time around.

I would thing that since the first suit has been decided already, Apple might negotiate a settlement to just wrap this up quickly. I think Apple has enough on their legal plate right now:

In a statement published earlier today, VirtnetX says its new complaint includes allegations of willful patent infringement regarding four of its patents, namely U.S. Patent Nos. 6,502,135, 7,418,504, 7,921,211 and 7,490,151. To be clear: those are the same patents the other suit was about.
This time, however, the accused products include the iPhone 5, the iPad mini and the latest generations of the iPod touch and iPad as well as the latest Macintosh computers.
This certainly hasn’t been a good week for Apple’s checkbook. VirtnetX, today Swiss clocks, what’s next?
